Reflecting on the Extraordinary UI/UX Experience at U.S. Bank

September 2021 was my last month at the U.S. Bank as a Design Lead. People know that I don’t say much about the companies I work with or for, but this is special. I started working for U.S. Bank about a year ago. It was a little bumpy initially, but things changed for the better after getting in the groove of corporate life.

The first project I was given instantly propelled me into the UX/UI bank ecosystem right away. As part of the Collaboration Team on the platform group, we created configurable components, and the first project was a hit. This first project introduced me to some great people and processes that the bank wanted to implement.

I would categorize our team as “The Bad News Bears.” We were scrappy, but we got it done. We handed off our baby, the first project, to the DocVault team lead by Ben and the UI/UX guru Malachi, who took it a ran with it. Heather was rocking Jira. Seeing how they elevated the project to the next level made me proud. The other DocVault team members were and are rock stars too.
